What does it mean if there is scabbing after eye corner surgery?
Disease description:
A few days ago I had eyelid surgery (to widen the eyes), and today I noticed that the wound has formed a scab. I'd like to know what this means?
After eye corner surgery, crusting may occur due to oozing of blood or fluid from the wound following the procedure, forming a scab. Typically, this crust will fall off naturally as the wound heals. Alternatively, crusting could result from inflammation, such as when the wound becomes infected with bacteria, leading to abscesses on the eyelid skin and gradually causing small ulcers or skin breakdown. In such cases, crusting usually develops after anti-inflammatory treatment.
