Back pain and night sweats may result from overexertion or exposure to cold, allowing bacteria or viruses to invade the body and cause a cold. They could also be due to genetic factors or bacterial infection leading to ankylosing spondylitis. Additionally, disturbances in cardiovascular function causing insufficient blood supply to the heart and resulting in cardiac pain may also produce the aforementioned symptoms.
