Dr. Luo Yong
Pain during urination after removal of the urinary catheter may be due to mucosal injury of the urethra caused by the catheterization procedure. During the period of catheter indwelling, movement of the patient can cause friction between the catheter and the urethral mucosa, leading to some degree of mucosal damage. After catheter removal, if the injury has not fully healed, it may result in pain during urination.
