In most cases, frequent sexual intercourse does not affect menstruation. However, if frequent intercourse disrupts a woman's endocrine system or is associated with certain medical conditions, it may influence the menstrual cycle. Under normal circumstances, as long as sexual activity does not result in pregnancy, it will not affect a woman's menstruation. This is because the menstrual cycle and menstrual flow are regulated by the secretion of ovarian estrogen and progesterone, and sexual activity itself does not interfere with the secretion of these hormones. Nevertheless, if sexual activity is so frequent that it disrupts sleep, or leads to excessive fatigue, decreased appetite, reduced libido, mental stress, and anxiety after intercourse, it may cause endocrine imbalance in women and thereby affect menstruation.
