Is HPV 31 serious?

Jul 25, 2021 Source: Cainiu Health
Disease description:

I’ve had gynecological issues before, and my symptoms improved somewhat after taking some medication. Recently, however, I’ve noticed something feels off again—intense itching in the genital area and slightly yellowish vaginal discharge. Today, I went to the hospital for an examination, and the diagnosis was HPV type 31. Is HPV-31 considered serious?

Hello, HPV-31 detection primarily indicates the presence of human papillomavirus (HPV) in the body. This finding often suggests a relatively severe gynecological condition, necessitating prompt medical treatment. A positive HPV-31 test result warrants close attention, as it may potentially progress to cervical lesions. Since individual test results vary, treatment must be tailored to each patient’s specific clinical presentation. We hope the above information is helpful to you. Wishing you good health and happiness!
