Yellowish semen in men may result from prolonged abstinence—when semen remains in the body for an extended period, it can appear slightly yellow upon ejaculation. If no other symptoms are present, this is generally considered normal.
However, yellow semen may also indicate conditions such as seminal vesiculitis, orchitis, or epididymitis. These infections are typically accompanied by noticeable symptoms, including abdominal distension and pain, testicular pain, or painful ejaculation. In such cases, we recommend visiting a hospital for diagnostic tests—including routine semen analysis and color Doppler ultrasound—to confirm the underlying condition.
