What is the difference between baby heat rash and eczema?
Disease description:
My neighbor's baby has small bumps on the skin, and the grandmother says it's痱子 (heat rash). What is the difference between infant heat rash and eczema?

There are several differences between infant heat rash and eczema:
1. Etiology: Heat rash is primarily caused by excessive sweating in hot, humid environments, leading to blocked sweat ducts; eczema, however, may be related to various internal and external factors, including food allergies, genetic factors, and physical irritants.
2. Affected Areas: Heat rash commonly occurs in areas with high sweat production, such as the scalp, forehead, chest, and back; eczema can appear on any part of an infant's body, especially the face, head, trunk, and limbs.
3. Clinical Presentation: Heat rash presents as small, transparent, superficial vesicles or papules the size of a pinhead to a needle head, with surrounding redness; eczema may present with various types of skin rashes, including erythema, papules, and vesicular papules, and may be accompanied by exudation or erosion.
4. Treatment: Heat rash is typically relieved by keeping the skin clean and dry, and by applying calamine lotion; eczema may require treatment targeting the specific underlying cause, such as anti-allergy measures or anti-inflammatory therapy.
