The survival period of patients with gastric cancer depends on multiple factors, including the stage, type, and location of the tumor, the patient's general health condition, the treatment methods employed, and individual responses. If detected promptly, early-stage gastric cancer can achieve a significantly improved five-year survival rate through surgical resection combined with chemotherapy or radiotherapy, and some patients may even attain complete cure. However, the prognosis for advanced gastric cancer is generally poor, with a lower five-year survival rate.
