Experiencing lower abdominal pain after running is a common phenomenon, and here are some possible reasons:

1. Improper exercise habits: Consuming large amounts of food or foods high in fat and fiber before running may cause gastrointestinal discomfort and lead to abdominal pain. Additionally, during exercise, increased blood flow to the muscles reduces blood supply to the digestive system, which can also cause abdominal discomfort.

2. Intestinal ischemia: Running immediately after eating may reduce blood flow to the digestive system, slowing intestinal motility and potentially causing intestinal ischemia and spasms, resulting in lower abdominal pain. Abdominal massage and drinking warm water may help relieve intestinal spasms.

3. Intestinal inflammation: Conditions such as chronic enteritis may cause lower abdominal pain when intestinal motility increases after running. The underlying cause should be diagnosed through tests such as intestinal CT scan and stool routine examination, followed by appropriate treatment.

4. Excessive physical exertion: Individuals who are not used to regular exercise may experience abdominal pain after suddenly engaging in intense physical activity. Symptoms usually improve after rest.

If lower abdominal pain persists or worsens after running, it is advisable to seek timely medical evaluation.
