What Causes Peeling at the Tips of the Fingers?
Disease description:
Recently, I’ve noticed some peeling on my fingers—do you know what might be causing it? What are the possible causes of fingertip peeling?
Peeling of the fingertips is most likely caused by localized dyshidrotic eczema or tinea manuum (hand fungus), and cannot be ruled out as resulting from vitamin deficiency. Patients may apply topical anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial ointments for treatment, and may also appropriately supplement vitamins to alleviate symptoms. In daily life, maintaining hand hygiene is essential to prevent bacterial infection.
