It represents a pre-malignant stage before the development of invasive cervical cancer. CIN is typically classified into three grades (CIN 1, CIN 2, and CIN 3), with increasing severity at each higher grade. Therefore, patients diagnosed with low-grade CIN should avoid heavy smoking or alcohol consumption and maintain a healthy lifestyle to prevent disease progression.
