Can aloe vera remove scars?

I recently underwent double eyelid surgery, and my eyes are still severely red and swollen. A friend told me that aloe vera can help reduce scarring, but I’m skeptical about this claim. Could you please tell me whether aloe vera is actually effective for treating scars?

Hello, aloe vera may have some effect in alleviating vasodilation and fibrous tissue proliferation around scars; however, there is currently no medical research confirming that aloe vera gel can treat scars. For scar management, options include scar-softening agents such as mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream or asiaticoside cream, as well as newer silicone-based preparations.
