What Causes Numbness in the Heel?
Disease description:
Over the past two days, I’ve been experiencing numbness in my heels. What could be causing heel numbness?
Numbness in the heels is most likely due to peripheral neuritis or other underlying diseases, or it may result from excessive physical strain. Prolonged standing can fatigue the heel and lead to numbness. Conditions such as plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, or lumbar disc herniation—especially when they compress local nerves—can also cause this symptom.
