What Causes Bronchopneumonia in Infants?
Disease description:
A friend’s child has had a mild cough, and the medical examination revealed pneumonia. What causes bronchopneumonia in infants?
Bronchopneumonia in infants may result from relatively weak immune defenses and respiratory tract infections caused by external pathogens. When the weather turns cold, inadequate warmth protection or consistently low indoor temperatures may lead to infant chilling, which can also trigger bronchopneumonia. Additionally, prolonged malnutrition or frequent exposure to allergens may contribute to the development of bronchopneumonia.
