What does it mean if your heart rate remains around 90 beats per minute over a long period?
Disease description:
I have a weak constitution, and my heart rate has been consistently around 90 beats per minute. What could be causing a persistently elevated resting heart rate of approximately 90 bpm?
This may be related to physical weakness, mental tension, or excessive psychological stress—or it could result from intense physical activity. In healthy individuals, the normal resting heart rate ranges from 90 to 100 beats per minute; therefore, a heart rate of 90 bpm falls within the normal range, and there is no need for excessive concern. However, if you experience palpitations, shortness of breath, or chest tightness, further evaluation—including an electrocardiogram (ECG)—is recommended. Ensure adequate sleep and avoid excessive late-night activity.
