The small and large intestines are collectively referred to as the “intestine.” Relatively speaking, the small intestine is longer—serving primarily as the conduit from the stomach to the large intestine—and measures approximately 5–6 meters in length. In contrast, the large intestine is thicker and shorter, measuring about 1.5 meters. Based on the patient’s presentation, intussusception is suspected, most likely resulting from gastrointestinal dysfunction secondary to poor daily dietary habits. This condition warrants prompt attention, further diagnostic evaluation, and treatment adjustment—provided intestinal necrosis has been ruled out.
