Can patients with chronic gastritis eat raw peanuts?
Disease description:
I have chronic gastritis and happen to have some raw peanuts at home—I really crave them. May I ask whether people with chronic gastritis can eat raw peanuts?
Patients with chronic gastritis may consume raw peanuts, which possess excellent stomach-nourishing properties. The unsaturated fatty acids in raw peanuts can neutralize gastric acid and help protect the gastric mucosa. Additionally, raw peanuts are rich in vitamins, providing essential nutrients for the body. Although raw peanuts benefit gastric health, they should be consumed in moderation—approximately 10–15 kernels per day is sufficient. Other stomach-nourishing options include milk and millet porridge.
