Can people with gastric distension and gastric pain eat grapes?
Disease description:
I have chronic gastritis and often experience gastric distension and stomach pain after meals. My doctor advised me to avoid acidic foods. May I eat grapes when experiencing gastric distension and stomach pain?
Grape consumption is permissible if you experience gastric distension or gastric pain; however, excessive intake should be avoided, as it may exacerbate your current symptoms. It is recommended that you take appropriate symptomatic treatment during this period—such as medications to relieve bloating and analgesics for pain relief. Regarding diet, if acidic foods are restricted, you may appropriately consume mild, easily digestible foods such as millet porridge or wheat-based products (e.g., noodles, steamed buns). Maintain a balanced and sensible diet.
