Your current heart rate is normal. In adults, the normal resting heart rate ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute; a rate within this range is considered normal. However, it is not sufficient merely to have a heart rate within this numerical range—you must also have a *sinus* rhythm. Even if your heart rate falls within the normal range, if it is not sinus in origin—for example, if it originates from the atria (atrial rhythm) or ventricles (ventricular rhythm)—this may indicate underlying heart disease.
