Normal Cortisol Range

Cortisol is a substance secreted by the adrenal cortex and plays a crucial role in human metabolism and normal physiological functions. Its normal reference range is typically 160–660 nmol/L. Mildly elevated cortisol levels may occur during physiological stress or in individuals with simple obesity. However, significantly abnormal values warrant further investigation for potential underlying pathological conditions.
