Taking iron supplements may cause your stool to turn black, which is a normal phenomenon. Once you stop taking the medication, your stool color will return to normal, and this does not affect your health. When taking oral iron supplements, it is recommended to also take vitamin C, as it enhances iron absorption and utilization. During this period, drink plenty of warm water to support metabolism. Avoid drinking tea after meals, and instead consume more fresh fruits, vegetables, and iron-rich foods.
