Introduction
Whether invasive breast cancer can be cured depends primarily on the characteristics of the local tumor—such as its size, degree of infiltration, and presence of distant organ metastasis. If diagnosed at an early stage, invasive breast cancer has a very high chance of cure following comprehensive treatment, including early surgical intervention and adjuvant therapies. Therefore, early detection and early treatment are essential.

Can Invasive Breast Cancer Be Cured?

Whether invasive breast cancer can be cured primarily depends on the local tumor characteristics—such as tumor size, degree of infiltration, and presence of distant organ metastasis. When diagnosed at an early stage, invasive breast cancer has a high likelihood of cure following comprehensive treatment, including early surgical intervention and adjuvant therapies. Therefore, early detection and prompt treatment are essential.

Invasive breast cancer is a subtype of breast cancer classified according to histopathological features—and it is the most common type of breast cancer. Typical symptoms include breast abscesses, nipple discharge, and “peau d’orange” (orange-peel-like) changes in the breast skin. Patients with invasive breast cancer should undergo regular follow-up examinations to detect disease progression promptly. Key surveillance tests include breast tumor markers (e.g., CA125, CA724, CA50, CA199), bilateral breast and axillary lymph node ultrasound, whole-body lymph node ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound or chest CT/MRI. Generally, follow-up is recommended every 2–3 months during the first year, every 3 months during years 2–3, every 6 months during years 3–5, and annually thereafter.

Patients with invasive breast cancer should maintain a positive mental outlook and ensure adequate nutritional support. We hope this article has been helpful to you. Wishing you good health and happiness!
