Introduction
Invasive breast cancer patients can consume lingzhi (Ganoderma lucidum), but should avoid excessive intake. Invasive breast cancer generally refers to cancer cells that have invaded the surrounding stroma and is a type of malignant tumor. Lingzhi is a valuable traditional Chinese medicinal herb; moderate consumption can help enhance immune function, strengthen the spleen, and tonify deficiencies. Breast cancer patients are particularly susceptible to the effects of cancer cells.

Invasive breast cancer patients can consume lingzhi (Reishi mushroom), but they should avoid excessive intake.

1. Can be consumed

Invasive breast cancer usually refers to cancer cells that have already invaded the surrounding stroma, making it a malignant tumor. Lingzhi is a valuable traditional Chinese herb. Consuming an appropriate amount of lingzhi can help enhance immunity and strengthen the spleen while alleviating weakness. Breast cancer patients are often affected by cancer cells, which may lead to weakened immune function and physical debility; therefore, moderate consumption of lingzhi is acceptable.

2. Avoid excessive consumption

However, patients are advised not to consume lingzhi in excess. First, overconsumption may overwhelm the digestive capacity of the spleen and stomach, leading to indigestion and symptoms such as abdominal bloating and diarrhea. Additionally, since lingzhi is a highly nourishing substance, excessive intake may result in over-nutrition, which could negatively impact health. Therefore, it is recommended to consume only moderate amounts and avoid overuse.

It is advised that patients with invasive breast cancer maintain a light diet in daily life, avoid overly spicy or irritating foods, and actively follow medical treatment as prescribed to prevent delays in optimal treatment timing.
