How to Quickly Relieve Tinnitus
Some people often perceive a buzzing or humming sound in their head when the surrounding environment suddenly becomes quiet. Occasionally, we may hear inexplicable sounds originating not from outside, but from within our ears. This phenomenon is known as tinnitus. So, how can tinnitus be relieved quickly?
How to Relieve Tinnitus Quickly?
1. Ear Massage: While washing your face daily, gently massage your ears and earlobes—or cup your palms over your ears, placing your thumbs behind your head while lightly tapping the back of your head with your four fingers. This stimulates peripheral nerves, improves blood circulation and lymphatic flow, thereby alleviating tinnitus symptoms.
2. Ear-Pulling Technique with Both Hands: With fists loosely clenched, use the thumb and index finger of each hand to grasp and gently pull downward on the earlobes—thumbs positioned behind the ears and index fingers in front. Repeat this motion dozens of times. Then, separate the index and middle fingers of both hands, positioning the middle fingers in front and the index fingers behind, and rub the base of the ears (auricular root) dozens of times.
3. Voluntary Valsalva Maneuver (Controlled Breath-Holding): Sit quietly and relax. Clench your teeth, pinch both nostrils shut with your fingers, then forcefully open your eyes while attempting to exhale against closed airways—allowing air pressure to build up and enter the ear canals until you feel a rumbling sensation or hear a popping sound. This increases vascular pressure throughout the ear, promoting greater blood flow and offering significant relief from tinnitus.

Tinnitus manifests in various forms—it may be acute or chronic, persistent or intermittent. Patients commonly report hearing diverse sounds, such as chirping (like cicadas), buzzing, clicking, or other phantom noises. Primarily affecting psychological well-being, tinnitus can even contribute to hearing loss and severely impair quality of life.

Tinnitus has numerous potential causes. Therefore, it’s essential to adopt appropriate preventive measures in daily life to avoid harm to your health. We hope this information proves helpful to you. Wishing you good health and a joyful life!
