Introduction
Gynecological mycoplasma infection usually presents with increased vaginal discharge, vulvar itching, a sensation of heaviness or distension in the lower abdomen, abnormal color and odor of leukorrhea. Some patients may also experience symptoms such as redness and swelling of the urethral orifice, frequent urination, painful urination, urgency, and decreased urinary output with purulent secretions. A small number of patients may develop cervical erosion, postcoital bleeding, or cervical edema.

Most women experience some degree of gynecological inflammation to varying extents. Initially, pathogens invade the cervix and vagina, which can easily lead to cervicitis or vaginitis. At this stage, women may notice increased vaginal discharge, and there might be visible white or yellowish discharge. Some women may also feel discomfort in the genital area. What Are the Symptoms of Gynecological Mycoplasma Infection?

Gynecological mycoplasma infection typically presents with increased vaginal discharge, itching of the external genitalia, a sensation of heaviness or bloating in the lower abdomen, abnormal color of vaginal discharge accompanied by an unpleasant odor. Some patients may also experience redness and swelling at the urethral opening, frequent, urgent, or painful urination, and the presence of purulent (pus-like) secretions from the urethra. A small number of patients may develop cervical erosion, bleeding after intercourse, or cervical edema.

Gynecological mycoplasma infections are usually caused by two main factors. First, unprotected or unhygienic sexual activity leading to sexually transmitted infection, or unconscious contact with clothing contaminated with mycoplasma. Second, reduced immune function in the individual, resulting in insufficient resistance against pathogen invasion. If the infection is severe, it is recommended to visit a reputable Level-3 hospital gynecology department for appropriate testing and to receive a treatment plan tailored by a physician.

In daily life, avoid unhygienic sexual practices, refrain from consuming spicy foods, and increase physical exercise to strengthen your immune system. We hope this information has been helpful. Wishing you good health and happiness.
