Introduction
If the disease involves the female reproductive system, it falls under gynecological conditions, including diseases of the vulva, vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, etc. Common vulvar diseases include vulvar eczema and vulvitis. Common vaginal diseases include bacterial vaginitis, fungal vaginitis, and trichomonal vaginitis. A common uterine disease is uterine fibroids.

In daily life, many female friends suffer from gynecological diseases, which seriously affect their everyday lives. What are the common types of gynecological diseases?

What Are the Common Gynecological Diseases?

Diseases affecting the female reproductive system are classified as gynecological conditions and include disorders of the vulva, vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Common vulvar diseases include vulvar eczema and vulvitis. Frequent vaginal diseases include bacterial vaginitis, fungal (yeast) vaginitis, and trichomonal vaginitis. Common uterine conditions include uterine fibroids, endometritis, and adenomyosis. Fallopian tube diseases include tubal blockage. Common ovarian diseases include ovarian cysts, premature ovarian failure, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

The causes of gynecological diseases fall into two categories: physiological and pathological. Physiologically, due to the anatomical structure of females, the reproductive system is connected to the external environment, making it more susceptible to bacterial infections. Pathological factors include poor hygiene practices—such as using unhygienic sanitary napkins during menstruation or engaging in sexual activity during menstruation—which may lead to retrograde infection. During menstruation, the cervical os is open, increasing vulnerability to such infections. Additionally, abdominal surgical procedures, including abortion and childbirth, may cause injury to the uterus and cervix, and inadequate sterilization during these procedures can also result in infection. Sexual activity may easily lead to cross-infection. Poor personal hygiene, such as washing socks and underwear together in a basin, or wearing tight, non-breathable pants, also increases the risk of developing gynecological diseases.

Female friends should pay attention to personal hygiene and take proper protective measures to avoid developing gynecological diseases that could significantly impact their quality of life. We hope this information is helpful to you. Wishing you good health and happiness!
