Introduction
Compared with traditional circumcision, laser circumcision significantly shortens operation time and results in less postoperative edema of the foreskin, making it a relatively better method for treating phimosis and redundant prepuce. The laser circumcision procedure includes anesthesia, laser excision, and wound adhesion. After laser circumcision, proper wound care is essential, and patients should maintain a light diet.
Laser circumcision surgery generally refers to circumcision performed using laser technology. Laser circumcision is a type of circumcision procedure in which a laser replaces the traditional surgical scalpel for cutting the foreskin, with steps similar to those of conventional circumcision. The surgical procedure is as follows:
1. The patient lies in a supine position and receives local anesthesia administered by an anesthesiologist.

2. The surgeon uses surgical forceps to lift the inner and outer layers of the foreskin, then clamps the full thickness of the foreskin distal to the glans penis with a hemostat.
3. The foreskin is then removed using a laser beyond the distal end of the hemostat.
4. Surgical adhesive is typically used, eliminating the need for sutures.
