Generally, at 14 weeks of pregnancy, sleeping positions such as supine (lying on the back) or lateral (side-lying) are acceptable.
At 14 weeks, pregnancy is typically still in the first trimester, and there are usually no strict requirements regarding sleep posture. At this stage, the fetus is relatively small, so pregnant women can maintain a comfortable sleeping position—either on their side or back. However, they should avoid sleeping on their stomach, as this may exert localized pressure on the fetus and affect its normal development.
During early pregnancy, both fetal development and the mother's physical condition may be relatively unstable. Pregnant women should therefore remain attentive to any bodily changes. Symptoms such as pelvic pressure, abdominal heaviness, or irregular vaginal bleeding could indicate conditions like threatened miscarriage, and prompt medical evaluation and treatment are necessary. It's important to avoid exposure to irritating chemical substances. In daily diet, nutritional balance is essential—emphasize nutritious vegetables and fruits while avoiding spicy, raw, cold, or greasy foods, which may negatively impact maternal health and fetal development.
