How to treat facial symptoms of cosmetic allergies
Facial cosmetic allergies are usually caused by the skin's sensitivity to certain ingredients in cosmetics, leading to symptoms such as redness and itching. Management includes eliminating the cause, applying cold compresses, and using medications. Specific measures are as follows:
1. Discontinue use of the suspected cosmetic product and switch to skincare products with simple formulations that are fragrance-free.

2. Soak a compress pad in medicated solution, ensuring the temperature is around 0–5 °C.
3. Remove the pad and gently squeeze until it no longer drips, then apply it to the affected area. Keep the dressing moist for an extended period, replacing it every 5–10 minutes.
4. After cold compress application, treat the area with mild topical corticosteroids or calcineurin inhibitors. In more severe cases, oral antihistamines may be required in addition to topical treatments. Commonly used medications include loratadine, cetirizine, and ebastine.
