Introduction
You can take a shower half an hour after exercising, and the water should be warm or hot—avoid using cold water to prevent harm to the body. If a patient does not rest and takes a cold shower immediately after exercise, it may stimulate the body, causing pores to contract. This prevents toxins from being expelled and allows cold pathogens to enter through the pores, potentially leading to fever and a drop in blood pressure.

It is advisable to wait half an hour after exercising before taking a shower, and the water should be warm, not cold, to avoid harming the body.

Right after exercise, blood circulation in the body speeds up and capillaries throughout the body are dilated. If you take a shower immediately after exercising, the expanded pores may suddenly contract, which can prevent toxins from being properly expelled and allow cold pathogens to enter the body through the pores. This may lead to electrolyte imbalances or symptoms such as low blood pressure and fever. Moreover, the shower water must be warm—not cold—because cold water can shock the body and cause discomfort. Therefore, it's best to rest for a while after exercise, allowing sweat to subside, about half an hour, before taking a warm shower.

In addition, after exercising, one should avoid drinking ice-cold water and instead drink more warm water to replenish lost fluids.
