How to relieve nasal soreness and pain
Nasal soreness or pain should be treated based on the underlying cause of the symptoms. It is commonly caused by conditions such as the common cold, allergic rhinitis, or sinusitis.
1. Common Cold
If nasal pain is due to a common cold, it is recommended to take medications such as cefixime capsules or compound paracetamol and amantadine tablets under medical guidance. Local heat application or massage may also help improve nasal blood circulation and relieve discomfort.
2. Allergic Rhinitis
If caused by allergic rhinitis, antihistamines such as cetirizine hydrochloride tablets or loratadine tablets should be taken under medical supervision to reduce nasal irritation and alleviate nasal soreness. Additionally, intranasal corticosteroids such as mometasone furoate nasal spray or budesonide nasal spray may be used as prescribed to provide anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, and anti-edema effects, thereby relieving nasal symptoms.
3. Sinusitis
If caused by sinusitis, antibiotics such as ofloxacin tablets or ciprofloxacin hydrochloride tablets are recommended under medical guidance to inhibit bacterial infection. If necessary, corticosteroids such as prednisone acetate tablets or methylprednisolone tablets may be prescribed to reduce inflammation and edema and relieve symptoms.
In addition, nasal pain may also result from other conditions such as nasal vestibulitis or nasal tumors. It is advisable to visit a hospital for diagnostic tests such as nasal endoscopy or CT scan of the nose to determine the exact cause and receive appropriate treatment.
