Introduction
Bigeminy of atrial premature contractions is a relatively serious type of arrhythmia. This rhythm refers to a pattern in which, after each normal sinus beat, an early beat occurs at the onset of cardiac contraction. Under normal circumstances, bigeminy is not life-threatening. Patients are advised to avoid strenuous exercise and maintain emotional calmness.

Atrial premature contractions in bigeminy represent a relatively serious type of arrhythmia.

Bigeminy refers to an abnormal rhythm in which a premature beat follows each normal sinus beat as the heart begins to contract. Atrial premature contractions in bigeminy can be caused by ischemic diseases, infectious diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, and other factors. Therefore, targeted treatments are necessary. For gastrointestinal issues, medications such as rabeprazole tablets, omeprazole enteric-coated capsules, or mosapride capsules may be taken orally under a doctor's guidance. For patients with ischemic conditions such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, or diabetes, treatments may include antiplatelet therapy, blood pressure control, improvement of circulation, lipid regulation to stabilize plaques, and reduction of myocardial oxygen consumption. Patients diagnosed with unstable angina or myocardial infarction are advised to undergo coronary intervention procedures.

Patients should avoid strenuous exercise and strive to maintain emotional calmness. Engaging in mild physical activities such as tai chi or walking is recommended. Additionally, attention should be paid to daily diet; it is advisable to avoid meats such as chicken, red meat, fish, and shrimp, which may benefit disease recovery and treatment.
