Heart failure generally refers to the condition in which the heart is unable to pump sufficient blood to meet the body's needs. Patients with heart failure should pay attention to proper medication use, adopting a healthy lifestyle, and adjusting their diet.

1. Proper medication use: It is recommended to take medications accurately under a doctor's guidance and avoid drugs that may worsen heart failure. Additionally, medications should be taken on time; missing doses may lead to worsening of heart failure or even acute episodes.

2. Adopting a healthy lifestyle: Engage in appropriate and regular physical activity as permitted by one's physical condition. Avoid alcohol and smoking, ensure adequate sleep, create a good sleep environment, and maintain a positive mood, all of which help prevent the onset or progression of heart failure.

3. Adjusting diet: It is advisable to reduce intake of high-salt and high-fat foods in daily meals. For mild cases, daily salt intake should be limited to 2–3 grams. For moderate to severe cases, daily salt intake should not exceed 2 grams. It is recommended to consume nutritious foods, including fish and lean meats in moderation.
