Introduction
Teeth usually erupt first in the lower jaw, then in the upper jaw, although the exact pattern may vary depending on the individual child. Teething generally begins around 6 months after birth, and all primary teeth typically come in completely by age 2 to 3. Tooth development is related to the development of tooth buds, hormone secretion, and the body's nutritional status. Normally, the lower front teeth emerge first, followed by the upper teeth.

Teeth usually begin to emerge around 6 months after birth and typically finish coming in by age 2 to 3. Tooth development is related to the development of tooth buds, hormone secretion, and the body's nutritional status. Generally, the lower front teeth (central incisors) appear first, followed by the upper front teeth. However, in some babies, the upper teeth may come in first, which is also considered normal. The typical sequence starts with the two lower central incisors, followed by the two upper central incisors. This is followed by the lateral incisors, first molars, canines, and second molars. Lower jaw teeth usually erupt first, with corresponding upper jaw teeth emerging afterward. Most children will have their first tooth appear by about 6 months of age, and no later than 12 months. Under normal circumstances, all 20 primary teeth should have fully erupted by around 2.5 years of age.

After primary teeth emerge, it's important to maintain good oral hygiene, limit sugary foods, and prevent food debris from accumulating on the tooth surfaces to avoid tooth decay.
