Introduction
Tonsil stones stuck in the throat can usually be flushed out under a doctor's guidance, or may require surgery as directed by a physician. Tonsil stones are typically hardened deposits of inorganic salts that accumulate in the tonsillar crypts. If one does not rinse the mouth promptly after eating, food debris may become trapped in these crypts, promoting bacterial growth. Over time, under the influence of bacteria, the debris can decay and harden into stones.

Tonsil stones that are stuck in the throat and cannot be dislodged may generally be removed through irrigation under a doctor's guidance, or treated surgically as directed by a physician.

Tonsil stones are typically hardened deposits of inorganic salts accumulated in the tonsillar crypts. If one does not rinse the mouth promptly after eating, food debris can become trapped in these crypts, promoting bacterial growth. Over time, this debris may decay and harden into stones due to bacterial action. Tonsil stones are often associated with chronic tonsillitis. If there are no clinical symptoms, treatment is usually unnecessary. However, when a stone becomes lodged in the throat causing a sensation of a foreign body, or leads to irritative coughing and breathing difficulties, timely removal is recommended. Under medical supervision, patients may use a syringe to irrigate the crypts and flush out the stones. In severe cases, surgical intervention—such as tonsillectomy—may be advised by the doctor.

In addition, patients should maintain good oral hygiene in daily life and can rinse their mouth with warm saline solution, which helps remove food debris.
