Introduction
Throat stones, commonly known as tonsil stones, can be removed by pressing with a cotton swab. To remove tonsil stones, first prepare by using a flashlight to illuminate the oral cavity and expose the tonsils. Moisten a cotton swab with water and press on the stone to dislodge it. Use a clean index finger to squeeze out any remaining stone fragments, and finally take anti-inflammatory medication to prevent throat inflammation.

Stones in the throat, commonly known as tonsil stones, can usually be removed by gently pressing with a cotton swab. Below are the detailed steps:

1. Prepare common tools such as a cotton swab and a flashlight.

2. Shine the flashlight into the mouth and open the mouth wide to fully expose the tonsils.

3. The patient should stick out the tongue, simultaneously close or contract the throat muscles, make an "ah" sound, tighten the muscles at the base of the throat, and hold the breath—just as if gargling. This action pushes the tonsils forward, fully exposing the tonsil stones.

4. Turn on the faucet to moisten the tip of the cotton swab, making it softer and reducing irritation to the throat. When removing the stones, flick them into the sink or onto a clean tissue, ensuring the cotton swab does not touch any surface.

5. Press or poke the stone until it loosens and use the cotton swab to push it out of the mouth.

6. After removing all visible stones, place the thumb under the neck at the chin, insert a clean index finger into the mouth until reaching the side of the tonsil, and gently squeeze the remaining stones out, similar to squeezing toothpaste.

7. After completely clearing the stones, take anti-inflammatory medication to prevent throat inflammation.
