Introduction
Localized muscle injury in the chest area may cause strain of the pectoral muscles, leading to pain in the trachea region of the chest. Bacterial infection in the tracheal area can trigger acute tracheitis, and under the stimulation of inflammation, this may also cause pain in the trachea within the chest. After rupture of lung tissue or bronchi, gas may enter the pleural cavity and induce pneumothorax, which can compress the trachea in the chest area.

Chest pain around the trachea usually refers to tracheal discomfort in the chest area and may be caused by factors such as chest muscle strain, acute tracheitis, or pneumothorax.

1. Chest muscle strain: Prolonged coughing in daily life can lead to localized muscle injury in the chest area, irritating surrounding tissues and resulting in chest muscle strain. This condition often causes pain around the trachea. Pain may also occur during heavy physical labor or deep breathing.

2. Acute tracheitis: Bacterial infection in the tracheal area can easily trigger acute tracheitis. Under the stimulation of inflammation, the trachea in the chest area may become painful, accompanied by symptoms such as rapid breathing and persistent coughing.

3. Pneumothorax: When lung tissue or bronchi rupture, air may enter the pleural cavity and induce pneumothorax. If the trapped air is not promptly expelled, it can compress the trachea in the chest area, causing pain.

In addition to the common causes mentioned above, such pain could also result from other conditions like bronchial lung cancer or pleural adhesions. It is important to seek timely medical treatment. In daily life, regularly opening windows for ventilation and breathing fresh air may be beneficial.
