How to manage fever reduction with sweating
Fever reduction generally refers to cooling down the body. Sweating during fever reduction is a normal phenomenon, as it helps remove heat and moisture from the body, thereby lowering body temperature. Methods such as warm towel compresses, massage, and acupuncture can be used to replenish fluids. Taking a warm towel compress as an example, the specific steps are as follows:
1. Take a clean towel, soak it in warm water at 40–50°C, wring it out, and gently wipe the sweaty areas to keep the body dry and comfortable.
2. Dissolve 75 grams of glucose in 250–300 milliliters of warm water, stir thoroughly, and have the patient drink it to replenish energy and body fluids.
3. The patient should avoid spicy foods and consume easily digestible meals, such as clear soup noodles.
