Introduction
Ovulation test strips cannot be used to test for pregnancy; they are only designed to detect the ovulation period. If you need to determine whether you are pregnant, you should purchase pregnancy test strips. Using ovulation test strips can help you understand your ovulation pattern, as these strips predict ovulation by detecting the peak level of luteinizing hormone (LH). During this time, the results on an ovulation test strip will show positive.

Ovulation test strips cannot be used to test for pregnancy; they are only designed to detect the ovulation period. If you need to determine whether you are pregnant, you should use a pregnancy test strip. Using ovulation test strips helps understand ovulation patterns, as these strips predict ovulation by detecting the peak level of luteinizing hormone (LH). During this time, the test results will show positive. The specific operating procedure is as follows:

1. Open the outer packaging of the ovulation test kit, take out the inner package and carefully inspect it from all sides. After confirming there is no damage, tear open the aluminum foil pouch, and remove the test strip.

2. Collect urine in a clean cup, preferably using urine collected between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. For consistency, always use urine from the same time each day for testing.

3. Dip the end of the test strip with the marked line into the urine sample. Do not immerse the strip beyond the indicated line. After three seconds, remove the strip and lay it flat. Wait 10 to 20 minutes to read the result.

4. If the test line is darker than the control line, the result is interpreted as positive or strongly positive, indicating a significant rise in LH. When consecutive tests start to fade in intensity, the previous test time point can be considered the LH peak, meaning ovulation will likely occur within 24–48 hours.

Ovulation test strips are primarily used to determine whether ovulation occurs and to identify optimal timing for intercourse to achieve pregnancy—they are not intended to confirm pregnancy. To check for pregnancy, use an early pregnancy urine test strip or a blood test to measure serum HCG levels.
