What is liver tumor? Can it be cured?
Liver tumors refer to tumor lesions occurring in the liver. There is a possibility of cure, but this depends on individual circumstances.
The liver is prone to tumor development. Based on different tumor characteristics and underlying causes, these lesions can be classified into benign and malignant types. For benign liver tumors, treatment options depend on specific conditions. Patients require dynamic monitoring, and some may achieve complete recovery after surgical removal. Malignant liver tumors are primarily hepatocellular carcinoma (primary liver cancer), which can be treated in early stages with surgical resection or liver transplantation. However, this disease has a high recurrence rate, so regular follow-up examinations are necessary after surgery to monitor disease progression. If surgical removal is not feasible, ablation therapy or interventional treatments may be used, along with targeted medications to suppress tumor growth and achieve better therapeutic outcomes.
During treatment, it is important to avoid anxiety and depression. Patients should communicate openly with family and friends and seek timely medical evaluation if any discomfort occurs.
