Introduction
Persistent twitching of the lower eyelid may be caused by prolonged use of electronic devices and resulting eye muscle fatigue, which can improve with adequate rest. If pathogenic microorganisms enter the eye and cause conjunctival inflammation due to inflammatory stimulation, it is recommended to follow medical advice and apply tobramycin eye drops locally to control the inflammation. If the twitching is due to facial nerve compression caused by a lesion leading to facial muscle spasms, it is advised to take oxcarbazepine tablets to alleviate symptoms.

The lower eyelid twitching continuously may be caused by physiological reasons, or it could result from pathological factors such as conjunctivitis or facial muscle spasms.

I. Physiological Factors:

When spending prolonged periods looking at electronic devices like mobile phones or computers, or frequently staying up late, the eye muscles can remain in a state of fatigue, leading to eyelid twitching. Avoiding extended screen time and ensuring adequate rest for the eyes usually resolves the issue.

II. Pathological Factors:

1. Conjunctivitis: Poor eye hygiene may allow pathogens such as bacteria or viruses to enter the eye and cause infection. The inflammation irritates the conjunctiva, resulting in twitching. It is recommended to use ophthalmic solutions such as tobramycin eye drops, levofloxacin eye drops, or acyclovir eye drops under medical supervision to control inflammation and relieve symptoms.

2. Facial Muscle Spasm: This condition occurs when inflammatory substances irritate the face or when blood vessel lesions compress the facial nerve, causing involuntary facial muscle contractions. Under a doctor's guidance, medications such as oxcarbazepine tablets or carbamazepine tablets may be prescribed to relax the facial muscles and alleviate symptoms.

In addition, conditions such as aneurysms could also be potential causes; therefore, timely medical evaluation is necessary to obtain an accurate diagnosis.
