Pancreatic cancer incidence rate
The incidence rate of pancreatic cancer is generally around 15 per 100,000 people.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the relatively common malignant tumors in the digestive tract in clinical practice. However, compared with other gastrointestinal cancers, its incidence is usually lower. Due to the subtle and atypical symptoms of pancreatic cancer, rapid spread of cancer cells, and poor prognosis, it is often diagnosed at an advanced stage when curative treatment is no longer feasible. At that point, patients can only follow medical advice to select appropriate treatments aimed at prolonging survival.
Although the incidence of pancreatic cancer is not high, the condition is usually severe once developed. It is advisable to avoid exposure to toxic chemicals, reduce consumption of fried foods, quit smoking and drinking alcohol, engage in regular outdoor exercise, strengthen physical health, and thereby lower the risk of developing pancreatic cancer.
