AB-negative Rh blood is known as "panda blood," a relatively rare blood type. Commonly discussed blood types usually refer to the ABO system, such as type A, type B, type AB, or type O. However, panda blood is an important blood group system. Blood type generally refers to the antigen types present on the surface of blood components and is typically classified into the red blood cell ABO blood group system and the Rh blood group system.

In addition, individuals with AB negative Rh blood may experience adverse reactions when receiving blood transfusions from other blood types. Therefore, they should take care to avoid injuries in daily life to reduce the likelihood of needing a transfusion. Pregnant women with panda blood should undergo regular prenatal checkups, as babies born to mothers with this blood type are more susceptible to hemolytic disease.
