Introduction
Early-stage cancer-related leg muscle soreness may be caused by muscle fatigue or tension, anemia, osteoarthritis, cancer stimulation, or bone metastasis, and can be managed with supportive treatments such as surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, or overuse of the calf muscles can lead to muscle soreness, which may also occur in cancer patients.

Leg soreness in the early stages of cancer may be caused by muscle fatigue or tension, anemia, osteoarthritis, cancer-related stimulation, or bone metastasis. It can be treated with supportive therapies such as surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.

1. Muscle Fatigue or Tension

Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, or overuse of the calf muscles can lead to soreness. This condition may also occur in cancer patients.

2. Anemia

In the early stages of cancer, some patients may develop anemia. Reduced circulating blood volume due to anemia can cause leg soreness. Under a doctor's guidance, patients may take blood-building medications such as ferrous sulfate tablets or azathioprine tablets.

3. Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is a chronic joint disease characterized by degenerative changes in joint cartilage. It commonly causes joint pain and limited mobility. Therefore, leg soreness in early-stage cancer might be due to osteoarthritis. Under medical supervision, patients may take medications such as ibuprofen tablets or acetaminophen tablets for treatment.

4. Cancer-Related Stimulation

Cancer usually originates in epithelial tissues and is a type of malignant tumor. Leg soreness in early-stage cancer patients may be a symptom caused by cancer cell spread. Patients may also experience low-grade fever, weakness, and weight loss. Prompt medical attention and surgical treatment are necessary. Chemotherapy may also be used post-surgery as an adjunctive treatment.

5. Bone Metastasis

Certain cancers—such as breast cancer, prostate cancer, or lung cancer—may metastasize to bones, including those in the lower leg. Bone metastasis can cause aching pain, especially when tumors grow or cause bone destruction. Medical evaluation is required to determine the cause, and treatment may include surgery, radiation therapy, or chemotherapy to manage the cancer and relieve discomfort.

Patients experiencing any of the above symptoms should promptly consult their doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.
