Introduction
During the process of tooth eruption in children, the emerging teeth can damage the gums and create wounds, which may easily become inflamed if not properly cared for, potentially leading to fever. Physical cooling methods can be used for treatment. If symptoms do not improve after applying these measures and the child's temperature exceeds 38.5°C, medication may be taken orally under a doctor's guidance.

During the process of tooth eruption in children, the emerging teeth can damage the gums, causing wounds that may easily become inflamed if not properly cared for, potentially leading to fever. Physical cooling methods can be used for treatment. The specific procedures are as follows:

1. Boil a kettle of water and let it cool down, adjusting the water temperature to 32–34°C.

2. Calm the baby's emotions and ensure the room is warm when removing clothing.

3. During sponge bathing, use a small towel soaked in lukewarm water to wipe downward starting from the neck. Gently pat and wipe areas such as the armpits, groin, and other regions with major arteries and rich blood vessels until the skin appears slightly reddened.

If symptoms do not improve after using the above methods and the child’s body temperature exceeds 38.5°C, medications such as ibuprofen tablets or acetaminophen tablets may be administered orally under medical guidance.
