Can you have sex at three weeks pregnant?
Sexual intercourse is generally not recommended at three weeks of pregnancy.
Having sex during early pregnancy may cause strong stimulation, potentially leading to uterine contractions and resulting in complications such as premature rupture of membranes or threatened miscarriage. At this stage, the placenta is still developing and is not firmly attached to the uterine wall. During intercourse, inaccurate movements or excessive excitement may cause vibrations in the uterus, increasing the risk of placental detachment and subsequent miscarriage. Additionally, the pregnant woman's abdomen may suffer strong impacts; if the male partner exerts excessive force or presses on the abdomen, increased intra-abdominal pressure could lead to premature rupture of membranes.
It is advised to avoid sexual activity during both the early and late stages of pregnancy. Attend regular prenatal checkups and maintain a consistent daily routine. Follow a healthy diet, stay positive and optimistic, avoid exposure to harmful or toxic gases and substances, and stay away from radiation. Avoid strenuous exercise, smoking, and alcohol consumption. Maintain a habit of going to bed early and waking up early, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, and ensure adequate protein intake.
