How to treat elevated vascular endothelial growth factor
Elevated vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) levels require treatment based on the underlying cause, such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, or coronary heart disease.
1. Hypertension
Elevated VEGF caused by uncontrolled blood pressure should be managed under medical guidance using antihypertensive medications such as labetalol hydrochloride tablets, nitroglycerin tablets, or nicardipine hydrochloride sustained-release capsules.
2. Hyperlipidemia
Elevated VEGF resulting from uncontrolled lipid levels leading to myocardial hypoxia. Under a doctor's supervision, medications such as simvastatin tablets, probucol tablets, or lovastatin capsules may be used to reduce cholesterol levels in the blood vessels.
3. Coronary Heart Disease
The above symptoms may occur due to myocardial damage in patients with coronary heart disease. It is recommended to follow medical advice and use long-acting anti-anginal drugs such as carvedilol tablets, diltiazem hydrochloride tablets, or nifedipine controlled-release tablets to prevent worsening myocardial injury.
In addition, elevated VEGF levels may also occur in conditions such as gastric cancer. Prompt medical consultation is necessary to receive targeted treatment under professional guidance.
