Itching of the vulva and frequent urination
Itching of the vulva and frequent urination may be caused by allergies, urethritis, trichomonas vaginitis, vulvovaginal candidiasis, bacterial vaginosis, or other conditions.
1. Allergy
If you are allergic to materials in underwear or ingredients in cleaning products, localized itching may occur, accompanied by redness, swelling, pain, and frequent urination. It is recommended to take antiallergy medications such as diphenhydramine hydrochloride tablets, loratadine tablets, or ebastine tablets as directed by a physician to control allergic reactions and relieve symptoms.
2. Urethritis
When the urethra becomes inflamed due to infection, inflammation can cause symptoms such as urethral pain, frequent urination, and urgency. It is recommended to take antibacterial medications such as norfloxacin tablets, levofloxacin hydrochloride tablets, or cefixime dispersible tablets as prescribed by a doctor.
3. Trichomonas Vaginitis
After infection with trichomonas, inflammation and irritation develop within the vagina. When the inflammation spreads to the vulvar area, it can cause vulvar itching, increased vaginal discharge, and frequent urination. It is recommended to take anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial medications such as metronidazole tablets, ornidazole tablets, or tinidazole tablets as directed by a physician to alleviate symptoms.
4. Vulvovaginal Candidiasis
This condition is an inflammatory response caused by Candida infection. Under the influence of inflammation, the skin of the vulva becomes sensitive, leading to itching and increased vaginal discharge. It is recommended to use local treatments such as clotrimazole suppositories, miconazole nitrate suppositories, or nystatin suppositories as prescribed to control pathogen growth.
5. Bacterial Vaginosis
After bacterial infection of the vagina, inflammatory stimulation leads to increased vaginal discharge. When this discharge irritates the skin of the vulvar area, itching may occur, along with abnormal vaginal discharge, dysuria (painful urination), and frequent urination. It is recommended to take medications such as metronidazole tablets, tinidazole tablets, or clindamycin tablets as directed by a physician to improve symptoms.
During treatment, it is important to change clothing frequently, maintain regular hygiene, and avoid repeatedly scratching the affected area. If symptoms of itching and frequent urination persist, prompt medical attention is necessary.
