Symptoms of summer heat-induced cold
Under normal circumstances, symptoms of summer heat-induced cold include dizziness, fever, red tongue body, sore throat, etc.
1. Dizziness
Summer heat-induced cold can lead to insufficient blood oxygen saturation and obstructed airways. Patients often experience dizziness and lightheadedness, sometimes accompanied by headache and excessive sleepiness.
2. Fever
Summer heat-induced cold usually occurs during the hottest months of July and August. The body becomes affected by external summer heat pathogens, leading to dysfunction in heat dissipation, thereby causing fever. This is mainly characterized by mild aversion to wind and cold, sweating without reduction in fever.
3. Red Tongue Body
Summer heat-induced cold results from invasion of summer heat, causing pronounced internal heat manifestations. Patients may present with a red tongue body, sometimes accompanied by dry mouth and thirst.
4. Sore Throat
Invasion by heat pathogens causing summer heat-induced cold can also lead to throat discomfort, manifesting as dryness and pain in the throat.
In addition to the above symptoms, patients might also experience dark and scanty urine, low energy, irritability, etc. Under a doctor's guidance, medications such as Isatidis Root Granules (Banlangen Granules) or Cold Relief Granules may be taken for symptom management.
