Introduction
The open abdominal tubal ligation procedure is called the "clip and bury method," in which the fallopian tubes are ligated and severed using surgical sutures. The surgery must be performed at a正规 hospital, with the following specific steps: The patient is placed in the lithotomy position to expose the surgical site, and the surgeon performs routine disinfection and draping. After the nurse establishes an intravenous access, the anesthesiologist administers anesthesia. A 2 cm vertical incision is made along the midline of the lower abdomen, two fingerbreadths above the pubic symphysis.

The open abdominal tubal ligation procedure is known as the "Pomeroy method with suture burial," in which the fallopian tubes are ligated and severed using surgical sutures. The surgery must be performed at a正规 hospital, and the specific steps are as follows:

1. The patient is placed in the lithotomy position, exposing the surgical site. The surgeon performs routine disinfection and draping. After the nurse establishes an intravenous line, the anesthesiologist administers anesthesia.

2. Once anesthesia takes effect, a 2 cm vertical incision is made above the pubic symphysis in the midline of the lower abdomen. The skin and underlying tissues are incised layer by layer until the peritoneal cavity is entered, and the isthmic portion of the fallopian tube is located.

3. Sutures are placed to ligate both ends of the fallopian tube segment (approximately 2 cm apart), and the intervening 1–1.5 cm of the tube is excised.

4. After layer-by-layer closure and secure suturing to stop bleeding, the incision is sealed. The patient's vital signs are monitored; once stable and without abnormalities, the procedure is concluded.

Tubal ligation is typically performed by cutting and tying the isthmic portion of the fallopian tube, but possible postoperative complications include abdominal wall hematoma and infection. Patients should rest in bed after surgery and maintain a nutritious diet.
